The fan site MidMajorMadness.com has some interesting observations on Chandler Hutchison as we sit exactly three weeks from the NBA Draft.
A quick Boise State early entry eval
Boise State has had a player depart early for the NFL Draft for five consecutive years now.
Hardware handled the old-fashioned way
Last Thursday we marked the 100-day checkpoint to the start of Boise State’s 2018 football season. So did Ryan McGee and Mark Schlabach of ESPN.com, with their “100 things to watch 100 days until college football kicks off.”
No surprises, so let’s go find one
The past two weeks we’ve gone from top 25’s to point spreads—and now to all-conference teams.
This is where the countdown begins
The calendar goes into warp mode now. It is 100 days until Boise State kicks off its 2018 football season on the road at Troy.
We remain ahead of ourselves
If the top 25 projections out right now have the “way too early” tag on them, you can take this with a grain of salt, too. But we do have odds for 44 Week 1 games in college football (plus two “Zero Week” contests).
Windy City instead of the Rose City?
Could it be that Chandler Hutchison’s “promise” (assuming there is one) that steered him toward pulling out of the NBA Draft Combine actually came not from Portland, but from Chicago?
Handicapping the Group of 5 race
“Who will be this year’s Central Florida?” USA Today’s Paul Myerberg has his answer, anyway. He tabs Boise State as the Group of 5’s top contender for a New Year’s Six bowl in the upcoming season.
Will there be gravy this year for Octavius?
When I saw the feature at ESPN.com headlined, “Breakout spring players for each top 25 team,” I wondered which way they would go for Boise State. My vote went to wide receiver Octavius Evans.
Skipping ahead for a moment
There was supposed to be a big announcement in Jacksonville today that Boise State’s 2019 season opener against Florida State has been officially moved from Tallahassee.
