Happy 50 days after Thanksgiving
My mind keeps drifting back to Boise State’s game against Cal State Bakersfield the night after Thanksgiving. The team we saw handle Nevada Wednesday night in Reno bore no resemblance to the one that scored 39 points in the loss to the Roadrunners.
Reno demons departed
Boise State wanted this one. The Broncos, who had lost 11 of their last 12 games against Nevada and hadn’t won in Reno in six years, dominated the Wolf Pack Wednesday night in an 85-70 victory.
Turning a page from 2021
Three of Boise State’s nine losses last season were to Nevada. The asterisk there is that because of the COVID-affected Mountain West schedule, the Broncos had to play twice in Reno (the third game was in Las Vegas in the Mountain West Tournament).
